Canterbury Christ Church University (CCCU) is a public university in Canterbury, Kent, England which was established in 1962 as a teacher training college by the Church of England and granted university status in 2005. CCCU is proud of its legacy as an educational establishment but also as a university for all; it is not an institution without commitment to higher educational achievement and educational engagement, it is developing and growing, and committed to a more modern, balanced and future proofed university.
CCCU has campuses throughout Kent, with campuses in Canterbury, Medway and Tunbridge Wells. The principal campus at Canterbury is within a UNESCO World Heritage Site which provides a unique opportunity to study within an academically distinctive, primarily heritage, location with modern facilities.CCCU offers a much broader array of undergraduate and postgraduate pathways from the arts and humanities to education, health and social care, business studies, science, and engineering. The university also has a distinctly regional community focus for its students with regard to employability and responsive career learning.
CCCU encourages a rich, diverse, student experience, with over 17,000 students from over 100 nationalities. Our inclusive approach provides for students who engage with important issues around equalities, sustainability and impact and research – in a future facing, opportunity development context and case.
