At the University of Chester, students studying BSc (Hons) Marine Biology are introduced to the study of the ocean and its ecosystems. For people interested in marine environments and sustainability, this course with its focus on marine ecology, oceanography, biodiversity and conservation is just right. Teenagers learn about different life forms from plankton to marine mammals and examine the way they relate to their environment. Participating in fieldwork gives students chances to visit the coast, participate in surveys and work with marine testing gear. Scientists use laboratory(-based) activities to study various marine organisms and the environment. Removed part of it explores what humans do to sea creatures and how we can protect various types of sea creatures. People who graduate in these programs may work in marine conservation, environmental consultancy, research, aquaculture or coastal management.
