About the course

The Biomedical Science BSc (Hons) teaches students about both human biology and the causes and consequences of different diseases. Preparing students for careers in healthcare, research and diagnostics, the course explores molecular biology, microbiology, clinical biochemistry, immunology, haematology and pathology. The curriculum includes practical lab work and students get to join research projects, helping them learn how to study biological materials and review test conclusions. Abertay Biomedical Science gives students both laboratory and real-world practice, preparing them for our country’s health care services (either NHS or in private companies) The University of Toronto’s program is centered around research on human disease, genetics and drug development and is well linked to hospitals and scientific research centers (University of Toronto Biomedical Science). In Australia, QUT students join biomedical research, with a special focus on real-time health testing and the latest advances (QUT Biomedical Science). At Northeastern University, you can participate in co-op work at hospitals, biotech businesses and research centers, while IE University ensures students practice data analytics and digital health in biomedical science.
