This Art and Design degree at Birmingham City University is designed to help students who wish to study and gain job experience in the same field. After the initial section of the traditional curriculum, students in this program are required to complete a full-year placement in a professional setting. This placement is set up so students learn by experience in advertising, design, galleries, museums or digital studios industries. While in the field, students experience how the work happens, deal with clients, administer projects and collaborate with others. As a result of this year, students often have better CVs and often get internships or job offers from the industry. As they train, students are encouraged to enhance their creativity and critical thinking, assisted by experts in the industry, so they graduate as skilled professionals ready to adapt in the changing creative environment.
