About the course

At Bath Spa University, the BA (Hons) Architecture program is focused on helping students become creative architects who can meet today’s problems like climate change, working toward sustainability and reimagining urban spaces. From the beginning, students undertake actual projects and live briefs, working together with people from outside the university. The study connects design with technology, history and theory to highlight how environments are linked with people and the community. They learn to create architectural drawings, model using computers and design models, along with basic research and thoughtful analysis. Emphasis is placed on saving natural resources and reusing constructed materials which reflects what the industry values now. Through their coursework, graduates are ready for their jobs and can advance towards being accredited by architectural organizations. This program values new designs that are functional, attractive and friendly to nature, helping students learn more about architecture and the developing needs of society.
