About the course

At Heriot-Watt University, the MA Accountancy course is structured to help students understand accounting in both business and financial fields, taxation, auditing and corporate finances. Based on both ideas and real-world experience, the course equips students for jobs in accountancy, business analysis and financial management. They gain the key abilities in analyzing, choosing and communicating choices that professionals in accountancy need today. Because of its accreditation by ACCA, CIMA and ICAS, the degree allows students to avoid several of the qualifying exams. Students practice financial reporting and evaluating business results with help from true case studies and accounting software. Those graduating are prepared to join auditing companies, big global companies, government agencies and consultancies.
